“to be sung underwater” (2011) by Tom McNeal BOOK REVIEW
The main character in this book is Judith Toomey Whitman. Part of the book deals with young Judith moving from Vermont to a small town in Nebraska. We see Judith as a young girl in one part of the story. In another part of the story, we see Judith 27 years later as a wife, mother, and film editor in California. Judith wonders what could have been if she had married her first love Willy. Does she trust and love her husband Malcolm (a banker)?
I do not think that I liked the character Judy.
This is a good book to read. MY RATING: 9 plus out of 10
