BOOK REVIEW of BLOOD ON THE MOON (2001) by Edward Steers Jr.
The author of this book feels that his version of the events dealing with the assassination of President Lincoln are correct and many others are not correct. One example, many references say the orders were to take John Wilkes Booth alive when he was located in Virginia. Edward Steers Jr. states there were no such orders. The last few chapters dealing with the train trip Lincoln’s body took to his final resting place in Illinois and his mentioning of conspiracy theories probably helps to keep them going.
This book is not an easy read. I would suggest a book called MANHUNT (2006) by James L. Swanson.
MY RATING: Seven
